For Prewar (Flipperless) Pinball Machine Collectors

Postby ohmwiz » Mon Nov 21, 2005 7:27 pm

Hello...

I operate a yahoogroup at prewar pinball@yahoo groups .com for any collectors and restorers of pre1947 'flipperless' pinball machines, including purely mechanical machines, early EM, payouts and 'wartime conversion' machines.

There are many members there who can answer any questions that you
may have about these machines. There is also a website attached to this forum at www.prewar pinball .com. (Remove the spaces in the names to visit these groups)

Anyone may join the group, you don't even need to own a machine to belong to this group. All you have to do is enjoy these machines.

Thank you,

PS. I am looking for any information on a Bally Airway of 1937 ('37 Airway) pinball machine I'm restoring. I'm especially looking for a lockdown bar or a schematic (repair) diagram.

FYI, a few weeks ago I sent a note to the new webmasters of the COCA web site telling them they might want to add the prewar pinball group to their list of other coin-op sites.

I was just notified that they have added it and I just checked and it is there.

Thank you Mr. Burritt,

I was surprised that the prewar pinball group would ever be listed
by COCA's webmasters. I hope that the posting will be allowed to stay there...

I see they do not have a link to this forum? Why am I not surprised?

In fact, COCA still does not have a forum period! When did they say it would be up & running? Oh yeah, August of last year. Almost 10 months ago  .

I'm getting the feeling that they really wish that they were the 'only game in town' again. Don't hold your breath waiting for a forum... having a forum implies a free exchange of ideas and info. We have that in "prewarpinball",
any member can talk about what they want and anyone else can reply immediately if they want to.
