1935 Jennings 10¢ Duchess Slot Machine

Postby Rick-okc » Sun Feb 24, 2019 7:50 pm

For sale is a VERY NICE restored Jennings 10¢ Duchess slot machine.
As you probably know, the Duchess is the mate for the Jennings Little Duke. Together, they make up the Royal Family of slots for Jennings. Both machines use the same mechanism; the Little Duke having spinning disc and the Duchess having reels.

I used this Duchess to provide pictures for a service manual I recently wrote for the Little Duke and Duchess. In the process of shooting the pictures, I completely disassembled the mech and cabinet, cleaned everything up, replaced most of the springs, replaced the reel strips, and repainted the cabinet castings (someone had painted everything black). Included with the machine are a set of reproduction front doors that I had made, with windows, for the mint vendors. Also included are an original set of solid, no windows, front doors. Both mint vendor trays are loaded with “fake” rolls of mints, wood dowel painted silver, with Jennings mint wrappers. Also included is a copy of my service manual.

I know the Little Duke is extremely rare in the 10¢ version. I don’t know about the Duchess, but I’m thinking they are probably just as rare. You hardly ever see one.

I know how the gorillas at UPS handle packages these days so I will try and pack this machine as best I can for shipment.

Asking $1800 OBO

Rick

No. Never got it off. I think I read somewhere that it's pressed on and would be major deal getting it off and back on.
I taped everything up real well before bead blasting the casting.

The vendor Knob is spring loaded you have to push it down the shaft. There is a grove in the knob with a split ring get the ring out and the knob slides off.
