Help with sun chief pump.

Postby Mark Hilliard » Sat Mar 17, 2018 1:28 pm

Hey guys...does anyone know how to keep my pump running smoothly? The problem is when the handle returns too slowly, and then snaps back on the 5th click of the machine. It does not always do this, but when it does it's annoying. I have adjusted the screw several times, and it is backed out nearly all the way. A collector friend of mine suggested removing the screw, and spraying WD-40 inside the pump housing. It helped somewhat, but I am still having issues...any help appreciated...

I would take the pump apart and clean it before and lube is used.
