Little Duke

Hello, need some input. Was playing the machine when all of a sudden there was this kind of grinding noise. I put another penny in and the reels didn't move nothing happened. When I open it up and check it out I could see the fan gear was stripped. So can I just replaced that gear, or do I need the whole clock assembly. Thanks

For those who may have or get this happen to them, I had to replace the whole shaft. I have a good friend in Montana who's been working on machines for over 50 yrs, I sent him the clock he switched out the gear all up and running.
