TECH - SEGA Continental Slot Machine Help needed

Postby meSz » Tue May 28, 2019 5:00 pm

Looking for any information on a SEGA Continental Slot machine. Would like to find out more information on this machine as well as locate a manual (pdf) on line somewhere. Not even certain of the name of this machine!

Also, when I put a dime in the machine the wheels don't spin with any real velocity. Thinking it might be as simple as cleaning and re-greasing the moving part??? Not sure so wanted to ask for input. This machine has been sitting for well over a decade!

Rich,
Thanks for the post but I am looking at this machine for someone that wants to know what the value is so he can sell it. I told him I would look into this as well as seeing if I could get it to be operational for him as it would bring more money in working condition. I am doing this as a favor so trying to do it as cheap as possible as I don't believe these are worth a lot! Also, the curiosity in me wants to know more about the machine.

Personally I would think that would be on the extreme high end as they are not that desirable and the market for them is very limited!
Just my humble opinion!

Appreciate the post. I felt like $550 was around the going price. Nonetheless any input on the issues/questions I have with the machine? Also, anyone know what the coil size is in these? The coil sleeve missing and the plastic housing is broken so it's best to replace it.

Hey all still looking for some input on the mechanics to this machine. I have it working now but the reels don't appear to be spinning really well. Is this common on this? With other slots the wheels would spin fast this one they're slow. There is some lubricant on them so not sure what the story is here.

Also, when I plug the machine in all but one of the lights (all new ones installed) is coming on. I thought maybe the starter but if I take the starter out and put it in the light comes on. Almost as if the machine can't light all 5 bulbs at once!

I have all new bulbs so I know that's not the issue. As for starters, I don't have a manual or anything to confirm what the starters should be but I have all FS-2 starters.

Thanks for the post!
