In early Bally advertisement for this machine, it was simply called Bally "Bally".
The added word 'Disc' came along later, via Dick Bueschel, and us collectors, so
that others knew which model we were referring to. Another Bally machine in
their line that was simply advertised, was Bally "Baby", which comes in more
than one reel version. The Bally line always seemed to keep their machine names
short and simple. Very few are more than one word.
