Hi Nigel,

For what it's worth. I'm eyeing something in the auction as well. I called Morphy's more than a week ago to get more info. They said an Expert would contact me to discuss....Auction is in Two Days...I'm still Waiting !!!

I've been biting my tongue since this post came on this site.

I go to the Chicago slot show every year and Morphy always has a booth with at least six people working for him and they tell you how great they are and how they are customer friendly. Well they aren't unless you are using them to sell something and they get their money up front % and then a % during the auction. I wouldn't buy a gum ball from them. There are other places to buy slot machines at that care about their customers.

I heard before the Morphy auctions moved from Vega that Larry bailed on them. Thats the rumor. I remember back before Morphy bought out Victorian Casino that old Roy Arrington would always make sure the buyers were well served. That made me feel good as it was a reflection on where old Roy was from which was Toledo OH. He grew up only a few blocks from me and I got to talk to him several times when he came back to town many moons ago. Another one of the hobbies greats !!

It’s a shame morphy has taken control of the auction and moved it to boot! Terrible that it is no longer in Vegas. Maybe we can get peter sidlow to bring it back to LV haha!
