I just got word that Mike Gorski passed away this afternoon. Mike was a long-time coin-op collector as well as the premier replicator of Roovers fortune telling arcade machines. I met Mike at a local coin-op show in Cleveland when I first started collecting machines in 1998. He quickly became my collecting mentor and introduced me to a previously unknown (to me) world of coin-op and related antiques.

Since I lived just down the road from Mike, I was so fortunate to visit be able to visit him often over the years and share a beer (or two) while discussing coin-ops and life in general.

Mike is now with his beloved Marion, who passed away last month.

Very sad news. Seems as we get older there are more funerals than weddings :( R.I.P.
