I see that the silkscreened award bib doesn't jibe with the "totally original" tall tale posted by the seller... are there other tip-offs that this isn't legit?

Wood base is a replacement, jackpot is not a 50 cent jackpot, hand load jackpot with reserve???? baseplate where the coin come out of the payout tube has been enlarged to allow 50 cent coins, lower castings is not a 50 cent casting. Payout slides look way to short , coin deflector missing on the top of the payout tube. A lot of things that are not right for an all ORIGINAL MACHINE.

Machine sold for some $4500 + wow ! Someone is going to be very disappointed . So much for this sellers credibility . He claims to be the son of one of the 70's biggest music promotores . The one that comes to mind is Bill Graham .
I was watching that fiddy cent GF and considered bidding before it hit that unusually high 4k mark . Glad I backed off from this seller as something just does not feel right about his claims and his descriptions .

Sellers name is Jeff O'day he also owns

http://m.slotmachinereelstrips.net/site ... ackage%3D2

He is a mortgage broker in Boethel Washington northwest pacific funding or something like that. He makes reel strips and award cards too pretty nice stuff. I bought a machine from him off fleabay and it was ugly but is now one of my best machines. The ad I bought from had a typo in it and he did refund me a reasonable amount for it.

I'm not defending him just telling you all what I know first hand. Just because he tells a story about a machine does not make him a dubious charactor. He could be a dolt that had more money than brains and bought a lot of slot machines and could be repeating what he was told.

just my 2 cents worth. Someone maybe excited to get that machine at least buyer not reading this thread lol.
Looking for survivor machines especially vendor fronts or original side vendors with or without
a machine. 1920's-30's goosenecks, round escalators. I enjoy hand painting the castings.

Hi. Dave posted (on YouTube) a near mint fish mouth 50-cent Golden Falls that was originally for sale many moons ago. It would have been a great example to illustrate the numerous differences between the current machine vs. an original!
