Type of gum to fit in a Mills one cent vendor?

Postby sdrefs » Tue Dec 05, 2017 1:36 pm

Hi - purchased a mills one cent vending machine, got it open without a key with some help from the forum, tested the coin mechanism and seems to work.

Now looking for gum to put into the machine. I though chicklets would work but they are discontinued but found a seller on ebay and bought a box - but they don't fit!!

Any suggestions on type of gum/candy that would fit and also where to get it.

The slots seem to be different sizes.

Any advice appreciated!

Shawn

The Mills machine vended the old style tab gum that came in a variety of flavors. Companies like Wrigley's, Beech-Nut, Chiclet's, Adams, etc sold their product within these machines. Inedible now, and usually sell for $1.00-1.50 per piece! I have quite a bit stashed (500+ pieces) so PM if interested. Looks better with some gum! I assume you have the weights? Robert

Hey Robert - thanks for the info.

Do you mean you have edible gum avail for sale that would fit? or just the ones to fill for display only?

Thanks!
