Slot Machine Prices

Postby Nick » Fri Aug 24, 2018 8:50 am

Just wondering why slot machines are listed for sale without a price given??
Don't understand why this is kept secret.
At some point an interested person has to know the price, so why not just state it with the new machine listing?

I think in many cases the seller really has no idea what the machine is worth.

They are too cheap to pay the $3.95 to the price guide and find out what their vest pocket, or whatever is really worth.

In some cases this has resulted in people buying stuff at a really good price.

Thanks. I understand.
Can you give me some information on the "price guide" and how to access this? Is it a $3.95 fee per slot machine value inquiry or just a fee to access the site?

Thanks.

Price Guide is at http://www.AntiqueSlotMachinePriceGuide.com

The $3.95 subscription gives you unlimited access for 3 days to all machines that have sold for under $7,000 (vast majority of the machines).
The price guide has sales information on over 16,000 machines and covers auctions back into the 1970s.

You need to pay a higher subscription to get values on machines that are $7,000 and more.

There is a buyers guide listed on amazon called Vintage Slot Machine Price Guide, although its prices are listed in £Sterling it gives a list of average prices based on sales over a 20 year period. Also has some good buying advise too. This along with Dave's suggestion should help, and you can never have enough information!!!
