Little Duke mechanism

Postby Rick-okc » Sat Jun 17, 2017 7:26 pm

Looking for a Jennings LITTLE DUKE mechanism.
I'm thinking about writing a book about working on a Little Duke and would like to find a spare mechanism to play with.

A commendable project and long overdue! Are you accepting pre-orders??? Hopefully you can locate a mechanism! Good luck!

Thank you for the encouragement.
I'm way too slow to accept pre-orders. We may be using a different currency by time I finish.

Yes Rick, but you will have to sell your house first! :)

Something I learned a long time ago writing training material for the FAA; two (or more) heads are better than one.
Input from others usually make the final product much better.

So, I'm asking for your help.

If you have any tips or tricks or anything concerning working on a Little Duke mechanism, please post it here for me to grab.
I have a Little Duke. I've had it for decades, but I've never had to work on it.
I don't even know where to start.
So, even basic information will be helpful to get me started.

Just like all the other things I've posted in the ARTICLES section, this will go up there for everyone to download for free.
It's my way of giving back to you guys and the hobby.

I had a problem with my Duke and had to modify this part:

Then I found a side vender for the machine, but there was no internal mechanism to trip the vender. Very hard to find original stuff. So I fabricated my own trip mechanism - doesn't work EXACTLY as the original but it does work.
