Jennings Chief Tic Tac Toe Jackpot

Postby Phan000 » Thu Oct 22, 2020 9:55 am

Greetings,

I just got my first mechanical. Pretty familiar with EM slots and modern reels.

It is a Jennings Chief "tic tac toe" dime machine. It currently plays pretty well, just needs some cleaning.

The jackpot does not seem to be functioning. When I trigger a jackpot, only the furthest pin engages into the reels, and 10 dimes are released.

I don't really understand what is supposed to happen, but would love some help sorting this issue out.

Thanks in advance!

You should get the jennings slot repair book. Look on the internet.

I will be purchasing the book... in the meantime, I do want to fiddle a bit to see how it operates.

The jackpot did not open. The top slide extended, but it looks like the linkage needs adjustment or possibly is missing a piece.

I think that I got the levers aligned correctly now, but jackpot is still not opening. Is the slide supposed to come out and push the lever going up? Is there a spring missing on the outside of that lever?

The slide goes back and the lever goes down.

Thanks for the input.

So to clarify, there is not a spring that should connect the post with the yellow arrow to the reset lever underneath?
