QT

Postby capt7310 » Thu Dec 09, 2021 9:16 am

Hello, I just picked up this QT and unfortunately never owning one before I was not familiar with all the components. When I looked it over it worked OK but I notice the Jackpot Glass was missing thinking no big deal it's just glass, well WRONG. I think I'm missing a bracket and something else because the coins do not drop into the jackpot they go directly into the cash box. Any help is appreciated and pics of a QT mech would also help Thanks!

Yes, you are missing the bracket that hold the glass, jackpot divider (available on ebay) and a piece that fits over the lower part of the bracket. You may also have an issue with a "frozen" sprocket assembly on the back of the jackpot that alternates the jackpot releasing. The coin chute should move to alternately fill each side of the jackpot so this could be either frozen ratchet rod(s) or a missing lower spring. I suggest purchasing the Geddes/Saul "Guide for the Repair of the Mills QT" as it will help you in your restoration.

Are you referring to the divider that goes between the two sides of the jackpot? It fits in the 2 small holes in the center of the jackpot. (Search Mills QT jackpot divider on ebay) You have all of the other mechanical parts that deal with coins.
