Bally S6000 and BallyS9000 will not initiate start up

Postby Drayc » Sat Dec 10, 2022 3:56 pm

Hi Folks,
I have several machines that, for about the last year have sat without power. The WMS was pretty straight forward. I changed the batteries, did ram clear and was good to go. But, the 2 Ballys have....not so much luck. I changed batteries and started with the ram clear. Neither machine will give a code or even initiate the start up. Lights come on....that is all. Is it possible for a mpu or Bios chip to go bad from sitting?
Any help would be greatly appreciated

So I did figure out that either the eproms were not fully seated or there was a loose connection on the S6000.
The S9000 on there other hand seems weird. There are test ports near the cabinet power switch that are at.... .5v on the bottom, nothing in the center and 24v from the top port. I believe they should be 5v, 12v, and 24v. Possible power supply issue?
