Mills War Eagle

The reserve jackpot mech on my war eagle doesn't match the hightop parts diagram I found on-line.
Is it shown in the Owner's Pictorial Guide for the Care and Understanding of the Mills Bell Slot Machine?
I need to confirm this lever is the correct one for my jackpot.

I’m not sure. But a War Eagle and a high top are two very different machines

The photo of the jackpot Safety Release Lever you show on your post is from the earlier style of jackpot, which would correctly go with your War Eagle. See pages 139-140 of the Mead and Geddes Owner's Pictorial Guide for the Care and Understanding of the Mills Bell Slot Machine book for that earlier jackpot. The later style of jackpot, used on the later 1940's Hightops, etc., is shown on pages 101-110 of the Mead and Geddes book.
