Just offered locally for sale. I haven’t followed the market on these recently. Supposed to be original. How can I detect a reproduction? Any ideas of value range?
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide

Not that this helps but there was one of these on Pawn Stars recently on a repeat episode. They had it restored but I don’t remember the value.

Far from an expert here, but what does the wiring look like? Old or new?
What denomination coin does it take? Does look like the coin mech is original?

Thanks,
I will see it on the morning and check those for sure. I’m guessing from the photo that the coin entry has been modified.
I’ll also look for casting markings and paper if there.

Thanks, I watched a few of them. Interesting they were mostly from the 70s
Seems like there are so many new ones out there that the auction market I checked is not very high for even originals. Pretty simple machine, with light bulbs and a bell and a printed sign. Seems the real value would have to be in an original cabinet and coin mech. in excellent condition ( doesn’t look like this is) and an original marquee. Guy says he is firm at $1200, so I think I’ll pass unless someone here thinks I’m passing up a fabulous find. Sort of doubt it.

Besides they are huge to move.

Thanks everyone.
