Sam:
First of all, the machine is Caille, not Mills. The price is a bit steep, considering it has issues.
It is not a repro, but could have recast parts, like the doors, etc., as it has been replated. I
would stay away from it, mainly because someone has drilled both lock-holes way oversized,
to install cam locks, which these machines never came with. Why people do this, is beyond
me, as original style locks are available. The worst thing is, If those doors were original to
begin with, you would now have to strip the plating, have the holes welded shut, redrill the
smaller holes in the correct position, and have the doors replated. That's fine, if you could
get it at a reasonable price to make up for all the hassle. Some unsuspecting sole will buy
the machine, not knowing about all the issues.
