I was looking at this listing and it's in my local area, I have requested photos of the inside so maybe the seller will provide them, but until then could you guys give me an idea what you think of it's condition and if it looks correct. Thank you.

Paint scheme is not correct, reproduction lock in back door, no indication if it has a Watling cash box. No pictures of mechanism.

The second picture is of the mechanism, does it need to be completely removed from the machine to be able to tell it's correct. Is the mechanism supposed to look that clean for an old slot machine. Thanks for your help.

Early Rol-A-Top, the mech is the correct one for this cabinet including the fortune telling reel strips. My guess is it left the factory like this, that’s the good news. The bad news is, every color on it is wrong, the mech and cabinet hardware which is why it looks so clean. Always best to leave original patina when possible. It also appears the top casting has been plated which is not good as it is hard to remove. This can be determined by removing the mech and seeing the a photo of the inside of the top casting. Looks like it was a nice complete original to start with and yes the lock is a replacement, didn’t notice cash if cash box was there. Looks like this was a nice machine to start with but overpriced. Buy a 3 day pass on Dave’s Price guide and look at completed sales as opposed to what people are asking. If you like the look of this machine, negotiate with the owner.

Oops, sorry about that. I went straight to the ebay listing. It would be helpful if the back bonnet were removed to get a better view of the top of the mechanism and the top casting to see if it was plated.

Here are some examples of all original machines which have not been restored. I think these fall in line to what you indicated you were looking for in your first post.

These are NFS and only being shown to help you when looking at machines.
