Nice forum you've got here. Lots of great info here.
I'm posting a pic of my Baby Grand, the mid size, with a green transparent box or extension on top.
Googled but found no info on the extension, yet

The extension on the top was a form to provide more capacity of merchandise.

It also indicates it was so the merchandise was more visible from all angles but your green top may be a replacement because the extension on top should have been clear
