Is this a Bell o matic? Las Vegas Club 5c "Owl" Machine

Hi all - This is a working 5c Mills machine I bought earlier this year, and I believe it is Bell o Matic - it opens in front and has a really cool track that slides out allowing the tech to pull the mech out and then rotate it while front door is open.

Q: This one has owls theme and original reverse painted glass front - is the owl theme just something that particular hotel used at the time? I have not been able to find another to compare it to.

it looks like a late model (late 1950's-1960's) Mills Bell-O-matic to me. The Owl was the Mills logo for many years, starting in the 1890's, with their Owl color wheel/floor machine. So that logo is continued on this open front light up slot machine.

This is a picture of my Bell-o-Matic that looks extremely similar to your machine. I also was having trouble dating it, however, during disassembly I found the manufacturers date "1962" cast into the coin tubes. So I am using that as a "close enough" date
Question do you have a buzzer and/or a switch located on the coin slides?

Yeah - most info I have found suggests early 60s and I guess these were pretty bulletproof and used for long after.

The wiring on mine is "interesting" and involves tin foil around a couple of the fuses lol

There is a wire with a plug going across middle of the bottom but I never heard a buzzer. I have not traced where that wire ends up though.

All wiring weirdness aside, mine has a working "change girl" button, and all the front lights work and the jackpot blinker light comes on when it hits which is cool - no sounds so far.

Do you have the stand for it, with the cash bowl - or did you have to make one? I find machines like this frequently and are without the stand. I have an old IGT video poker game that was originally meant to work with that type of stand. I ended up getting a cash tray from a different machine and added it to the front to catch the "wins."
